Photoshoot in Sofia with Stefan — a tribute to Platon

I had long wanted to shoot a portrait photoshoot inspired by the style of Platon — the well-known portrait photographer who has photographed world leaders, actors, and many other celebrities. His style is easily recognizable: bright directional light, deep shadows, high contrast, and a strong emphasis on the character of the person in front of the camera.

This photoshoot in Sofia became an opportunity to bring his visual aesthetic to life. The idea is quite simple — minimal distractions, expressive light, dramatic contrast, and a portrait that feels truly cinematic.

Stefan turned out to be the perfect model for this shoot. He feels very natural in front of the camera, and the entire photoshoot went easily and organically. His style, charisma, and character fit perfectly into Platon’s style.
